Water
Stops Flood Damage ! |
|
|
After
seeing the water damage that occurred to so many towns
and cities this year, we decided to feature a
different kind of ''gadget'' this month; a very unique
flood protection product that's simple to set up,
simple to use, and easy to store.
The WIPP™ flood protection system is an
inflatable barrier that prevents costly flood damage
to industrial, commercial, and residential properties
by using any available water source - even the flood
water to rapidly inflate and form a tough barrier to
incoming water.
It occupies so little
storage space, yet, it replaces thousands of sandbags,
the untold hours it takes to fill the bags and the
brutal work that's required to build a containment
wall. The cleanup after deployment is painless and
exceptionally clean when compared to the mountains of
sand used in traditional flood protection efforts. |

Water protection
barrier in operation |
The WIPP™
is a patented water-inflated flood barrier system
that can be deployed more rapidly than
conventional sandbags using from one to two
individuals depending on the system size.
The WIPP™
can be used to surround entire buildings or to
protect small areas. The WIPP™is
also reusable, repairable, and requires minimal
space for storage.
Where a 2-foot high
by 100 foot long sandbag wall requires 3,450
sandbags, requiring a storage space of 90 cubic
yards,
the equivalent Wipp
System™ can be
stored in a 3-foot long x 1.25-foot wide x
1.25-foot high box or storage area.
